Pet Loss Grief Support

When we open our hearts to an animal companion, we also open our souls to the inevitable pain that comes the day our beloved friend dies. Unfortunately, the journey of love can't exist without the journey of grief. Too often, we as pet loss grievers don't have the support systems we need to navigate our losses in a healthy way. Many will isolate, suppress or fully bypass their grief because they don't feel supported or safe to do so.

As someone who has experienced the devastating loss of pets, I understand the difference it makes to have someone walk with you through grief. I would be honoured to support you in your time of need.

It's important to remember that there's no specific timeline for grieving. Whether you're preparing for the loss of a cherished animal companion, are currently mourning a loss, or have been coping with the absence of a beloved pet for many years, seeking grief support could be a valuable next step in your grieving journey.

Finding the right person to walk with might be the biggest step in helping yourself navigate your darkest days. Please reach out to schedule a free 15-minute consultation to see if we are the right fit. I invite you to also read through our FAQs to learn more about pet loss grief and how we support you through it.

Grief Journaling Prompts

When we are in grief, our minds can struggle to process just about anything. Journaling can be a gateway to the thoughts swirling in our minds. It can help us focus and put a name to feelings that are otherwise hard to articulate. It can help us connect with what is under the surface that we didn't even know was there. It can help us remember and revisit our beloved time together, as well as continue the special bond we share with our cherished loved one.

Every week, I will share a new journal prompt here to support you on your grief journey. You can use the prompt as is, or as a spark to write about anything that blossoms within you. Let your words be a bridge between your heart and the love that remains.

Finish this sentence:

'I feel angry that...'

(Let it all out without judgment).

Over time, you find people begin to question why you are “still” grieving. The simplest and truest answer: I still love them. And they are still gone.
